Patti Smith, 75, announced an upcoming tour to commemorate the 50th anniversary of her iconic 1975 debut studio album Horses.
The upcoming anniversary tour kicks-off with a European leg on Oct. 6 in Dublin, with the U.S. leg starting Nov. 10 in Seattle and concluding Nov. 29 in Philadelphia. Each show will include all eight tracks from the 1975 album.
Smith’s tour will also feature guitarist Lenny Kaye and drummer Jay Dee Daugherty — who both played on the original ’75 studio album, as well as keyboardist/bassist Tony Shanahan (who has toured with her for thirty years), and guitarist Jackson Smith. A press release notes, “Please join us to help celebrate the final ride of our irreverent thoroughbred.”
