Mudvayne has dropped out of the 4-day ‘Louder Than Life’ festival at the Kentucky Expo Center, after vocalist Chad Gray tested positive for COVID-19. Mudvayne played their first reunion show at Inkcarceration Music & Tattoo Festival on September 11.

Said Mudvayne in a statement: “After taking every precaution to follow CDC Covid protocols during rehearsals and recent performance Chad Gray and a few staff members have unfortunately tested positive for Covid-19. The safety of our organization, fans and festival partners must come first. We are left no choice but to cancel our performance at Louder Than Life this weekend. Apologies to all the fans attending the festival this weekend. We look forward to getting everyone healthy and ready for our Aftershock and Welcome To Rockville performances later this year. We appreciate your love & support throughout these unprecedented times.”

‘Louder Than Life’ subsequently announced the addition of Breaking Benjamin to Sunday’s lineup to take Mudvayne’s place. For the full festival lineup, click here. Proof of vaccination is required to attend, and those who are not vaccinated must have a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours of the first day they attend the festival.
