The series of winter storms continue to leave Texans struggling with freezing temperatures, power outages, inaccessible transportation, icy roads, along with lack of food and water services completely shut off.

COLD WEATHER SHELTERS: OPERATING 24-HOURS A DAY, ACCEPTS PETS
- Individuals seeking shelter: Palmer Events Center 900 Barton Springs Rd, Austin, TX 7870
- CapMetro bus routes to take: 1, 7, 10, 20, 801, and 30.
- Families and children: Downtown Salvation Center Army Center 501 E. 8th Street
- CapMetro bus routes to take: 2, 4, 6, 7, and 10. Capital Metro will not deny transportation to anyone due to lack of fare.
- Northeast Early College High School: 7104 Berkman Drive
- Mendez Middle School: 5106 Village Square Drive
- Del Valle High School 5201 Ross Road
- PETS WILL RECEIVE ACCOMMODATIONS THROUGH ANIMAL SERVICES
- If you need to travel to a shelter due to medical needs, call 311 for additional transportation resources.

COLD WEATHER SHELTERS: OPERATING 9am-9pm
- AISD opened two warming centers that will operate from 9am-9pm. You cannot stay overnight, and they will have minimal resources on site. Bring your own blankets and supplies:
- Russell Lee Elementary School, 3308 Hampton Rd, Austin, TX 78705
- Murchison Middle School, 3700 N Hills Dr, Austin, TX 78731
CapMetro SUSPENDS SERVICES WEDNESDAY 2/16 THROUGH SUNDAY 2/21.
- However, they will focus all their efforts on emergency operations with the City of Austin to help those at cold weather shelters and those needing life-saving trips.
