New Metal Music 9/12: Master Boot Record, Crobot, Bodysnatcher

new Metal Music on Midnight Metal No Control Radio on KLBJ Austin 2024

Chuck has a few singles you’ll hear during Midnight Metal in the coming weeks on KLBJ, but you can listen as many times as you want if you check out the youtube videos, and then buy ’em!

Master Boot Record – CPU

For sick riffs AND the sound of machines fornicating, check out the video for CPU, the first single out from the album Hardwarez, releasing in October 2024.

Preorder the album from their website!

Crobot – Obsidian

Fan of Queens of the Stone Age? Maybe you miss Corrosions of Conformity?

“Relive the golden era of rock with Crobot‘s modern twist on classic riffs. If you grew up jamming to heavy rock and metal, this track will hit all the right notes!” says their youtube video description.

Check out the title track Obsidian for sick riffs, but then check out “Nothing” right afterward for the full-scope of true artistic beauty: Bigfoot. (Yes, it’s a bigfoot music video. No, you can’t resist!)

Preorder the album here from their website or get it locally from Waterloo Records tomorrow!

Bodysnatcher – Say Goodbye

Cannot say I’ve ever heard (Or read an e-mail) from Chuck saying, “Heart-wrenching,” and “metal,” in the same sentence before, so this tune from Bodysnatcher should catch your attention as well! “Some of the most heart-wrenching lyrics in a death metal track ever,” he says about this 3 minute and 33 second tune off the EP “Vile Conduct,” released earlier this month on September 4th.

Buy it here!

They stop everywhere in Texas except for Austin at the end of October, so find a show that you can represent the ATX Headbangers Club at!

House of Blues – HOUSTON October 28th

Vibes Event Center – San Antonio October 29th

Grenada Theater – Dallas on October 30th
