Here’s what’s coming up on the next L.A. Lloyd Rock 30 8/17-18
with Brandon Saller from Atreyu:
“Pronoia” is defined as “a state of mind that is the opposite of paranoia. It’s characterized by the belief that the world is conspiring in your favor, and that others think well of you.” Atreyu must be taking a more positive look at the world with the release of their album The Pronoia Sessions. It began as an acoustic album and evolved into a grand re-imagining of ATREYU classics and some covers from Tom Petty and Audioslave.
Like A Stone
The lead-off single from Atreyu’s The Pronoia Sessions is a cover of Audioslave’s Like A Stone. According to Brandon Saller, frontman, “It is one of the best rock songs of the last 30 years plus, like Cornell is an untouchable in my eyes, whether it was Soundgarden or Audio Slave or whether it was his solo stuff. Like, I loved, he did that solo record with Timbaland, and it was so great.”
Hot Videos
If you’ve watched any of Atreyu’s videos, you can immediately sense their love of filming and creativity. Brandon Saller even set himself on fire for the video Watch me Burn and he said, “I enjoy videos. I think especially these days, we kind of come up with really, really ridiculous concepts and then actually follow through with them.”
