Loris was voted Music Director of the Year by readers of Billboard/Monitor in 1996 and was again voted Music Director of the Year by readers of Radio and Records Magazine in 2001. She is also Executive Producer of KLBJ's "Local Licks Live" and "Yule Rock!" charity CDs.

A few things that describe Loris: rock chick, music freak, amateur musician (she plays bass, guitar, and accordion!). Before moving to Austin in 1988, she worked for KFMX in Lubbock, TX. Two of her co-workers at 'FMX were none other than Dale Dudley and Johnny Walker. She can frequently be spotted after midnight downtown, checking out local bands.
